Film Club
A Vladimar and Rosa film club is in the works which is an exciting new development. Our first screening will be Godard’s Vladimir et Rosa of course. We are looking for a bigger studio as things expand.
The Architecture of Projected Space
In a score of rhythmic editing, flashes of movement and light - deconstructed to the point of non-existence - conflate real time and cinematic time revealing the liminal space between. Playing with the architecture of projected space, two black screens extend the loop creating a sculptural and cerebral depth. The haunting sound, similarly ruptured plays against the black screen, creating a kind of fissure commonly associated with experimental filmmaking practices.
The residue of choreographic phrases
Moments in time are compressed within each frame, monumental in their own right, bearing the residue of choreographic phrases. Fleeting in extreme, fragments of gestures, bodies and sound mark a montage of abstraction and repetition. Ripped apart and altered found dance footage combines with hand-cut shapes, re-shot to create a moving collage of sorts.
Three Channels
Close to finishing three-channel video… a manifestation of The Kids Play Russian. It has been quite a challenge given the fictional nature of the performance!
